From City Hall to your Neighborhood

As Mayor, I have many responsibilities but one of the most important is being present in our neighborhoods and connected to the lives of Hayward’s children and families.  I believe strong leadership starts with listening, building meaningful relationships, and understanding firsthand the issues that affect people every day.

That means getting out of City Hall and meeting people where they are.  At their doorsteps, in schools, at local businesses, in parks, and throughout our neighborhoods.  I want Hayward families to (1) know their Mayor, (2) see their Mayor, and (3) know that I am present and listening.

For me, being Mayor means being present, engaged, and focused on making life better for every Hayward neighborhood and family.
